Our Design Work at FAIVIASHCares

Our designs are so much more than just designs. These designs have 2 main goals which are to raise awareness and tell a story. We have created abstract designs that highlighted our battles with mental health and straight-up poster designs where the message is clear. Our intention behind creating abstract designs is to allow the audience to morph the intended message into whatever brings comfort to them.

The mission is to create designs that highlight battles however we intend to keep it abstract enough to allow the message to be interpretable to one’s life as we are all fighting the same battle but with different demons. We pay homage to the late Mac Miller through our designs as for our co-founders, the later artist's lyrics have helped them through their battles with mental health.

On the other hand, we also have designs with clear messages to raise awareness as easily as possible. Our idea is to get normal reworked second-hand clothes as literal posters but for good causes as that will grab the attention of any person walking by. The design that we are most proud of is our head above water girl which is simply because of the amount of work that got put into finding the perfect shot.

We had located our shoot on Discovery Bay and had instructed our model to go into the sea (of course with her lifejacket on) and simply just float on her back. We had then a drone fly out to where she was located on the sea and take a bird's eye view snapshot of the model. The idea had come to one of us who shall remain nameless in a dream. Initially, we had thought we would put stickers symbolizing necessities in life such as friends, family, happiness, etc. However, we had ended up keeping the life jacket empty as we all have different definitions of the things in life that would keep us afloat.
