What is FAIVIASHCares?

The Problem

The FAIVIASH organization is all about sustainable fashion. As consumption around the world exponentially increases the apparel industry is contributing to 10% of the global emissions. Fast Fashion has increasingly exacerbated the standing of the fashion industry as lower prices and quicker delivery times are increasingly demanded, suppliers are turning to cheaper materials and processes coming at the cost of the environment and cheaper labor hence resulting in dodgy employment practices. This explains that at this rate, the industry's greenhouse gas emissions will increase by 50% within the decade. The Industry is the 2nd largest polluter after the transportation industry.

The Solution

FAIVIASHclothing specializes in affordable sustainable clothing & sustainable processes with the first drop bringing organic cotton oversized t-shirts. FAIVIASHCares is a non-profit subsidiary of FAIVIASHclothing where we rework 2nd hand clothes using designs related to current social issues subsequently using the profit from the sales of the reworked second-hand clothes and donating it to charities and programs that actively tackle said current social issue.

The Motivation

This blog will mainly be focusing on discussing the progress of FAIVIASHCares and discuss current trends in the fashion industry. We are a team of 4 people who came together because of our strong desire to do something to make this world a better place for future generations. The definition of sustainability is having enough resources to support our needs now without limiting the number of resources needed to support future generations. We aim to get people thinking, change people’s mindsets, and start conversations on societal issues through the design of our t-shirts worn by people of all backgrounds of life. At the same time, all profits from our t-shirts will go to organizations working towards alleviating the respective societal issue, doing our part to help organizations help those.

Regards,
FAIVIASHCares
