Mental Health Crisis of the World and Hong Kong

At FAIVIASHCares we are constantly learning about the prevalence of mental health around the world. Here we wanted to collate information to create an infographic showing the prevalence of mental health of young students around the world and see how Hong Kong compares to the global patterns. The most shocking fact is that every 100 minutes an adolescent dies by suicide which makes it the third leading cause of death for people ages 15-24.  The concerning findings for Hong Kong were that almost 30% of the respondents on a national survey have moderate to severe levels of depressive symptoms. Furthermore, 52% of DSE candidates (high-school diplomas in Hong Kong) showed at least a 7/10 on stress readings the issue is clear to see.
